The following are some of the types of projects carried out by DH4.
- Business architecture, reviews and evaluations for the establishment of an Australian national shared electronic health record (EHR) system, now implemented as My Health Record (MyHR)
- Leadership of conceptual design, development and realisation of the NSW iVote system, allowing registered voters unable to attend polling places to securely lodge their votes electronically
- Investigations and risk management based assurance to improve and validate processing of results in high-stakes exams used in the training of medical specialists [since 2014]
- Conceptual design and implementation of first Virtual Tally Room used in major elections in Australia – disseminating progressive results via real-time feeds
- Establishment of a robust cyber security environment including implementation of an ISO/IEC 27001 information security management system (ISMS) at the NSW Electoral Commission
- Development of business intelligence strategy and implementation plan for a state/territory health authority – with a focus on improved data quality
- Leading development and implementation of a new core business system for the NSW Public Trustee from concept, through procurement to go-live
- Reviewing alternatives and preparing business case for Australian national health terminology service and Australian participation in SNOMED International
- Development of IT Strategic plans and conduct of ICT reviews/audits for various organisations
- International Health Standards Development Organisation (IHTSDO) – report on processes and compare them with those of other global standards bodies
- Managing the acquisition and implementation of a specialised SGML database and legislative drafting system to assist the NSW Parliamentary Council service the NSW Parliament and to provide views of legislation at previous points in time
- Preparation of cybersecurity executive awareness training program
