Richard Dixon Hughes - Managing Director

Richard is an experienced IT management consultant holding professional qualifications as an engineer, legal practitioner, company director and information technologist, coupled with experience in senior IT executive and board-level roles.

He is particularly focused on the organisation, management and effective application of digital technologies in government, health and not-for-profit organisations, including the management of associated risks to privacy protection and cyber security.

He has extensive experience in IT governance and strategic planning, risk management, health informatics, digital health and contracting for ICT  (Information Communication Technology) solutions. His earlier experience included some 13 years in CIO-level positions.

Richard has close to 20 years’ experience as a non-executive director in government and standards organisations.  He is also strongly involved and holds leadership positions in the development of Australian and international standards.

Ian Brightwell - Principal Consultant

Ian is an experienced principal consultant with extensive recent experience as an IT executive.  He has qualifications in information technology and engineering and is certified in the governance of enterprise IT.

As CIO from 2005 to April 2016, he led the development and delivery of digital transformation within the NSW Electoral Commission and is recognised as an international leader in the use of digital technology to facilitate time-critical electoral processes and the management of associated risks.

His main area of expertise is ICT management with a particular focus on ICT governance and cyber security.

His earlier experience as a senior consultant included leadership roles on projects encompassing IT strategic planning, business process redesign, ICT procurement, ICT risk management and project reviews and included work with state and federal government agencies and private sector organisations.

Ian is also an adjunct academic at the UNSW in cyber security and course mentor for MBA level programme in ICT Governance for Charles Sturt University.
